Synopsis
Set in a south-west London pub during the 2000 England vs. Germany match, tempers are running high. As England lose again, their supporters in The King George lose it too – at full time, patriotism has become unapologetic racism. The play was originally staged in the National Theatre’s temporary theatre (The Loft) in 2002 as a 45 minute production, apart of the Transformation Season. The play was then revived in 2004 in the National’s Cottesloe Theatre.
Users can access materials from the National Theatre’s 2004 production by booking to come in to the National Theatre Archive.
