Ruth Harris

Biography

Ruth Harris is a director, poet and writer for theatre and film. She wrote ‘The Cripple’, based on the life of Pauline Wiltshire, recounting her experience of disability and social rejection, rape, abandonment and single parenthood and ‘The Children’. Both of these shows were for Theatre of Black Women and toured both the UK and Holland in the 1980s. These were the company’s final shows and are unpublished.
