Biography
Josette Bushell-Mingo OBE born 1964 is an English theatre actress and director of African descent, who was born in London and previously lived and worked in Sweden for many years. She received numerous nominations and awards for her roles and founded and directed the Push Arts Festival with the Young Vic Theatre. In 2016, she wrote and performed Nina – A Story About Me and Nina Simone. Since 2021 she has been the princpal of the Royal Cenrtal School of Speech and Drama after previously working as the Artistic Director the National Touring Swedish Deaf Theatre ensemble Tyst Teater.
