Joseph Coelho

Joseph Coelho is a poet, playwright and children’s book author from London. In 2022 he was elected as Children’s Laureate. He began his career with Apples and Snakes performing poetry before working with the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre, Unicorn Theatre, Half Moon Theatre, Talawa theatre Company, Oily Cart and Theatre Centre. His work for theatre includes Pop-Up Flashback, The Poetry Joe Show, Fairytales Gone Bad: Grannylocks/Monstrous Duckling and Zombie-rella/Blood Red Hood (all for Half Moon Theatre Company) among numerous other works.
