Helen Oyeyemi

Playwright and novelist Helen Oyeyemi was born in Nigeria in 1984 and moved to London when she was four. While studying Social and Political Science at Cambridge University two of her plays, Juniper’s Whitening and Victimese, were perfromed by fellow students to critical acclaim. Her novel The Icarus Girl was adapted for the stage by Holly Race.
